Yes, a visa is required for almost all nationalities. Dahlak Tours provides visa-on-arrival assistance for our clients. Simply send us a clear scan of your passport, and we will arrange the necessary paperwork for you to collect your visa at Asmara International Airport ($70 USD fee).
Can I obtain a visa at my arrival?
Absolutely, if you’re not living in a country that hosts an Eritrean embassy, Dahlak Tours is your go-to solution for acquiring an Eritrea visa upon arrival. Simply provide us with a scanned image of the front page of your passport, and we will make arrangements for your visa to be available for collection at Asmara airport when you arrive.
Do I need to send you my passport in order to obtain an Eritrea visa? Can I send an original passport?
There’s no need to send us your original passport to obtain an Eritrea visa on arrival. A scanned copy of the front page of your passport will suffice. We will take care of the necessary arrangements to ensure that your visa is ready for you to pick up upon your arrival at Asmara airport.
What are travel permits, and do I need them?
Foreigners require a permit to travel more than 25 km outside of Asmara. Dahlak Tours handles all permit applications for our guests. We take care of the paperwork for your trips to Massawa, the Dahlak Islands, Keren, and other destinations so you can focus on the journey.
